Zalman King’s film is a rare treat. It’s a love tale with a sexual candor that you rarely see in American films without resorting sniggers or violence. And, unlike the antiseptic 9 1/2 Weeks, it takes place in a recognizably real world.

This odd as hell little late 80’s gem could be an X-files episode. It’s got that creepy old house, odd VO and gothic feel. It even has that trope of someone fucking a ghost. Mostly, though, it’s a chance for McNichol to show off her boobs in a few nude scenes. I’m not complaining.
